In 1923, J Irvin Overholtzer started Bible clases for boys and girls. His desire was to tell them how to be free from the guilt of sin. Something which no one would tell him when he was a boy. In 1937, Mr Overholtzer responded in a greater way to God's burden for children. CEF which later grew to a worldwide ministry, was incorporated as an organisation in chicago, Illions USA. Child Evangelism Fellowship, is a Bible-centred world-wide organisation composed of believers whose purpose is to evangelise to boys and girls with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (discipline) them in the Word of God and in a local church of Christain living. CEF has Spread to every state in the United States, to every province in Canada and to over 150 other countries. There are More than 2,000 nationals and missionaries working with CEF all over the world. Presently we have over 30 Full-time workers in Nigeria, Working across the nation for the same goal.
CEF Lagos, Was established in Nigeria, with its Headquaters in Km1 Kachia road, Maraban Rido, Kaduna State to also share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to children throughout Nigeria in order for them to be disciplined in the teachings of the Word of God.
CEF is incorporated Nationally in Nigeria to provide leadership training and materials.
